Aarhus is Denmark’s second city, three hours west of Copenhagen on the Jutland peninsula. The drive is 310 kilometres on the E20 — across the Storebælt Bridge, through Funen, and over the Lillebælt into Jutland. It is the longest of our regular Danish routes and it works well as a productive cabin alternative to either the train (about 3 hours) or a flight plus airport transfers at both ends.
Aarhus has the kind of corporate and cultural pull Copenhagen sometimes forgets to credit it with: the Aarhus University crowd, the design and architecture scene around ARoS art museum and Dokk1, the shipping and pharma offices that anchor the harbour. Cultural visitors come for ARoS (the rainbow walkway on the roof is the postcard), Den Gamle By (the open-air historical museum), and Moesgaard Museum south of the city. Conference visitors land for events at the Musikhuset and the Scandinavian Congress Centre.
E20 west across Zealand, over Storebælt, across Funen, over Lillebælt into Jutland, then E45 north to Aarhus. Three hours of motorway with two bridge crossings — both tolls are included in our quote. For most of the route the cabin is genuinely quiet enough for video calls and laptop work.
Fixed price from €449. Storebælt and Lillebælt tolls included. Door-to-door from any Copenhagen address to any Aarhus address. Standard 15 minutes of free waiting time at non-airport pickups. Wi-Fi, water, USB-C and USB-A charging. The S-Class or V-Class is the usual recommendation for the distance — the extra rear-cabin space is worth it on a three-hour drive.
