Copenhagen Airport is closer to its city than almost any major European hub. Just under ten kilometres from Terminal 3 to Nyhavn, give or take depending on which side of the city centre you are heading to. The drive is twenty minutes outside rush hour, about half an hour during peak. The metro is fast too, but the chauffeur run wins on doors-to-doors when you are arriving with luggage or trying to make a meeting.
From CPH arrivals (Terminal 2 for Schengen, Terminal 3 for long-haul), the route runs north on the Øresundsmotorvejen and crosses Amager Strandvej into the city. Hotels in Indre By, Nyhavn, and around Kongens Nytorv are about twenty minutes. Vesterbro, Frederiksberg, and the harbour-front addresses around Islands Brygge are similar. Østerbro and Hellerup are slightly longer at about twenty-five minutes.
