Helsingborg is the Swedish city directly across the water from Helsingør — 110 kilometres from Copenhagen by road via the Øresund Bridge, about 1 hour 15 minutes door-to-door. There is also the option of driving to Helsingør and taking the 20-minute ferry across; for some passengers the ferry version is actually preferable because it is slightly cheaper and you arrive at Helsingborg’s harbour rather than the outskirts.
From central Copenhagen, E20 over the bridge, then E6 north up the Swedish coast through Lund and Landskrona to Helsingborg. Faster, all motorway, about 1 hour 15 minutes. Bridge toll included in the price.
