Gothenburg is Sweden’s second city and the largest port in Scandinavia — 310 kilometres from Copenhagen by road via the Øresund Bridge and the E6 motorway up the Swedish west coast. The drive is about 3 hours 30 minutes, including the bridge crossing. It is the most popular Swedish long-distance route we run, behind Malmö.
From central Copenhagen, the E20 across Amager and over the Øresund Bridge, then the E6 north along the Swedish coast through Helsingborg, Halmstad, and Kungsbacka into Gothenburg. The whole route is motorway. The Øresund Bridge toll is included; the Swedish E6 has no tolls.
