Lund is the university town fifteen minutes north of Malmö — about 50 kilometres from central Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge and another short hop on the E22. The drive takes about 45 minutes door-to-door. It is the second-most-common cross-border run we do, after Malmö itself.
Lund University, founded in 1666 and one of Scandinavia’s largest research universities, brings the academic and conference traffic. Lund Cathedral (the oldest in northern Europe) and the medieval old town pull tourists. From central Copenhagen, the E20 across Amager and over the Øresund Bridge, then continue north on the E22 to the Lund Centrum exit. The bridge toll is included in the quoted price. The Swedish border is normally automated for vehicles.
